Exciting Week!!
Despite the long week, this weekend was so exciting on so many levels. My friend, Elicia, came down for the weekend. We had some much needed "friend time". She joined us for church on Sunday! What a Sunday!! I felt that the sermon was just for me. There was a sweet spirit during worship and God was at work. Sunday night was amazing! Kylie and her preschool choir led in worship. This was a HUGE deal - Kylie did not want to go to choir if they were going to sing on stage. She sang and danced and LOVED it! So proud of her! In the same evening, my sister's son -Jackson, was baptized. WOOOHOOO!! God is so good! We finished off the weekend with a party at Pizza Parlour! Praise the Lord for all of HIS blessings!

I'm back!
Goodness! I can't believe I am just now updated the blog! So much has happened since my last post! Where to begin........
**Tyler prayed for several months that God would move us back to Lavaca. We did not know that Tyler had been praying this until his Sunday School Teacher asked us about it one Sunday! HAHAHA!! Tyler had been asking the class to join him in praying that God would move us from Mena to Lavaca! That kid! In November, God answered Tyler's prayer! Josh became the new Worship Pastor at First Lavaca. Tyler's faith grew so much the day we told him. He said," I knew God was listening to me." From the mouth of babes! There is so much I learned from this moment - Tyler never doubted or worried that God was going to answer his prayer. He had full faith! How many times do I ask God something then worry about what the outcome will be......
**As I mentioned, Josh is the new Worship Pastor at First Lavaca! We are so blessed and thankful that God called us to serve here - HOME! We just love serving God with the wonderful staff HE has assembled here. Blessed beyond measure! God is moving and it is so exciting!
**Today we had two envelopes in the mail - PASSPORTS!!! Haiti is on our hearts and we can not wait to get there and love on those sweet children. God has such a wonderful plan for each one of them. I may have to bring one home! :) If it were legal, I think I would bring more than one home with me! Now to find the date that God would have us to go! Tyler and Kylie just love the pictures of the two children we have hanging on our fridge. Tyler talks about the children of Haiti all the time. He asked if he could go with us! He has such a big heart.
**This school year has flown by! In August my baby is going to Kindergarten!!! WoW! KINDERGARTEN!!! Really?! She just glows when she talks about it! I will soon be the mother of a Kindergarten and 2nd grader. Thank you God for my sweet little blessings - Tyler and Kylie Jo!
Well, I think I have caught you up for the most part! I will do my best to update a lot more often!
Song of the day: Thou oh Lord! This song is amazing!

1st Day of School
Can you believe how fast time flies?! This morning as we all got ready the kids were so excited! I have to admit I was excited too! We took pictures of them before leaving the house and as we headed for the stairs, Tyler said, "Mom, do I HAVE to take my picture with Kylie?" I told him he had to at least once. He responded with "Mom I am getting to old for this." LOL! Oh my goodness! They both had a wonderful first day. Kylie loves preschool and is in class with her best friend, Brady. Tyler is in 1st grade and has made several new friends today. They both love their teachers and we do too - what a blessing! Here are just a few of the pics from this morning. Kylie loves to have her picture made......I think you will be able to tell ;) Tyler is looking like a big boy now! What a wonderful blessing from God to have two sweet kids!

Church, Shots and School
What an awesome Sunday of Worship we had this past week. It is awesome to see how God has molded, changed and shaped Dallas Avenue in the past 2 years! Sunday night we had the opportunity to visit First Baptist Lavaca. My grandfather was saved at the age of 72 and wanted all his family there! To GOD be the glory!
Kylie turned 4 in May and had to get her shots before pre-school started. All you mommies out there know how hard it is to hold your baby as they get poked by needles. I asked Josh to take her because I was dreading it so bad. He met us there and when the nurse called out "Kylie", she looked at Josh and said "I want Mommy!!" :) Needless to say, I had to hold her during the process. She did so well. She had been so anxious about it that she cried the whole morning before we left the house. When the shots were over she smiled and showed me her muscles and said "Mom I am tough". So sweet!
I can't believe that school is starting next week. I now have a 1st grader!! Where did the time go? As I look at Tyler and Kylie and how much they have grown it makes me want to cherish every moment even more than I already do. It makes me think that if I feel that way, how much more does God feel that way about us. I challenge you to search your heart and make sure you are spending quality time with God daily so He can cherish every moment with you!
**Special Moment of the day** Tyler and Kylie woke up and were playing while I was getting ready. As I walked closer to the bedroom I could hear tiny voices singing "He loves us, Oh how He loves us,Oh how He loves." WOW! Thank you God for coming into mine and Josh's hearts and for helping us lead our children to the cross on a daily basis!

Prayer
We have really been trying to pour into our children what it means to pray. Since Tyler was saved a couple of months ago his prayers are getting more sincere and heart-felt. It will bring tears to your eyes. Yesterday his prayer ended with "God, let all those people who do not go to church come worship and praise with us." I could barely hold back the tears. What a heart for others that my little 5 year old has. Children are such a blessing from God. Cherish each moment you have together and pour the Word of God into them daily!
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

About Us
Here we are, at last, blogging! I guess I can start at square one - My name is Jennifer. I am blessed to be married to my best friend, Josh. We have two children whom we love more than words! Our son, Tyler, was saved the end of April and then baptized in May! What an awesome feeling to know that your son has received Christ as his Lord and Savior! Our little princess, Kylie Jo, is growing more and more each day. I love to hear her sing praises to Jesus! Josh has been the Worship Pastor at Dallas Avenue Baptist Church for the past 2 years. God has blessed us in so many ways. It is amazing to watch God move when you follow Him in faith. I just finished my first year as a paraprofessional in the self-contained room at our local elementary. I will graduate with my Masters degree this December. As you can tell, we love Jesus, love each other and love singing.
"I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praises to my God as long as I live." Psalm 104:33
